Our Founder Blair Brown was born in NFLD and grew up in P.E.I. Blair’s mom was a typing teacher there; in 1984, she, as a single mom, decided to move the little family to Ontario for a better life as young Blair was a handful and always in trouble. It was the best thing for himself and his sister, although it took him several years to realize this fact. Long story short, thanks to Blair’s late cat Slim, he purchased a home, and his late yorkie Ritchie helped him turn his life around. Then, with not going to be at home more, he searched the internet on a popular dating site and found his soulmate and a son. Luck was on Blair’s side; being the man he was, he didn’t want Logan to struggle through life like most of us have had to; hence, when he put his mind to work with his new family on his mind, The Gripper was born. So Blair is asking the world: Help us help everyone, and let’s get The Gripper in every home, office, and worksite to keep the people we cherish the most safe and reduce plastic to save our beautiful earth. Canada is steps closer and miles ahead of most in the world.
